  • The HNC Academy is organised by the High North Center for Business and Governance (HNC).

The Arctic Congress Bodø 2024 is the core activity for the HNC Academy in 2024. The idea is to create a learning platform to share knowledge and facilitate network for young ambitious people who share the interest of societal development in the High North.

We are therefore very happy to invite students, business professionals, public employees, researchers etc., in the age of 18 to 40 and with a demonstrated interest in the Arctic to apply for the HNC Academy 2024. The participants will follow a program consisting of lectures, company visits and social activities, as well as participation at the Arctic Congress from the 29 May – 1 June.

High North Dialogue Academy does not provide study points, but particpants receive a certificate of participation.

The title of this year’s Academy is Arctic Business Perspectives which constitutes the thematic foundation for the content of the Academy program. The students will be schooled in the methodology of Scenario Planning, a strategic tool used to foresee future changes. This is a widely used method in many sectors such as security politics and energy, and has been a thought subject at Nord University for many years. The Academy is an excellent opportunity to learn Scenario planning from some of the leading experts in Norway in this field.
